Play! Pokémon updates VGC tournament rules for Q3 2026

The latest VGC handbook now focuses entirely on Pokémon Champions and adds a dedicated competitor-disconnection section.

References specific to Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet were removed from the Video Game Championships handbook. Section 4.4.1 now covers competitor disconnections.

The general tournament rules also update age-division eligibility dates, clarify match start timing and cap an asymmetrical Swiss top cut at 32 players for VGC. Competitors should check the current official handbooks before their next event.
